Rock ‘n’ Roll (RnR) marathon series (https://www.runrocknroll.com/en) operate running events globally. Combining running and music since 1998, with live bands performing at every mile along the course and a post-race headliner concert. RnR aim to cater to the sports tourism market with about 65% of runners visiting from out of state. Event activities include headliner concerts at each event, VIP events and hospitality, two-day Health & Fitness Expo with activities for Competitors and supporters and a kids Race (Arizona, Nashville, Denver, Las Vegas, San Antonio and Philadelphia). Running different distance competitions regularly across North America and Europe as well as in China and South America, RnR are looking to identify a new host city.

You have been provided with data on socio-demographics, tourism, weather, exercise levels and rival competition for 35 cities across North America. Your job, using the data provided and relevant research, is to recommend a city (or cities) for expansion supported with evidence. You also have data on the success of current cities to support your decision-making process. To present your work, you need to develop an Executive Dashboard in Tableau visualising the data to support your recommendations and a 2000-word corresponding report to present the complex data and support evidenced based decision-making.
