Cancer Care Centre has chemotherapy and radiation therapy, as well as providing haematological
services, with cancer surgery and cancer genetic services available onsite at St George Hospital.
1.2 Description
Clinical Trials are an important part of improving the quality of care given to our patients
leading to improved survivorship of patients. Clinical trials connects our teams with sponsor
organisations to observe the outcomes of trials of different treatment techniques or
prescriptions. Clinical research studies aim to answer scientific questions and find the best
ways to prevent, diagnose, or treat diseases and medical conditions. We need a way to
record information gathered during these studies which can then be provided to the
sponsor organisation and also to clinicians who are completing research projects.
1.3 Requirements
The solution to this problem needs to satisfy the following requirements, but the final
product should ultimately showcase the groups ingenuity to make a novel solution to the
problem.

- Create clinical studies to group patient records

- View number of enrollment by study
- Mark patients as off study when study is completed
