Project Requirements
· Design and Implement a Database using Microsoft Access
o Some database ideas: Course Manager, Payroll, Inventory. Some of my past students have used this database project to create something useful for them in their own lives … 1 student used it for his wedding planning, another used it for his lawn business, … I have been told that MS Access has some samples. If you have ideas, share them with the class on the discussion board.
· POPULATE YOUR TABLES (that is, insert all the rows of data into your tables). Make sure you have at least 10-20 rows of data in your tables! The data can be made up but the database idea should be realistic.
· At least 3 tables should be created. Make sure there are relationships between the tables.
· At least 2 MS-ACCESS FORMS to insert, delete, or update data (you can use VBA code to insert, delete or update if you like to program)
· At least 2 MS-ACCESS REPORTS that would be useful for your database.
· At least 2 MS-ACCESS QUERIES that would be useful for your database.
· At least 2 Macros (see Chapter/Module 10)
· At least 2 VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) procedures (see Chapter/Module 11)…. You can build a “front-end” to your database (buttons to do something with your database,…)
· DATABASE DESIGN DOCUMENT FOR YOUR DATABASE. A design document describes to me what you have done. Tell me about your database, your tables and the relationship between your tables. Describe some of the features (forms, queries,reports….) that are implemented in your database.
